Danish-American author Tim Ray is a passionate student of spiritual principles and mental technologies. He is the author of two titles in the Starbrow series: Starbrow and the sequel Starwarrior (Spring 2004). At present, he is at work on The Starbrow Workbook, the practical application of the spiritual principles in the Starbrow series, based on his talks and workshops.

Ancient Prophecy Revealed

“Starwarrior” is the second book in the “Starbrow” series from Danish-American author Tim Ray. It is exactly what it says that it is … a spiritual thriller. In this series, Ray is seeking to connect the reader with his personal understanding of ancient spiritual wisdom and principles. I would like to note here that the foundation of this series is on spirituality in general, and that it does not reflect a specific religion or belief.

I appreciate Dan Brown’s work, and find that Ray’s work shows the same care and research. The overall story is about an ancient prophecy concerning the movement of earth, and earth’s inhabitants, into the fifth dimension. We left off in book one (Starbrow), with the feeling that the three compatriots were going to have some down time. Not going to happen!

There is a CIA agent on a global manhunt, with the mission of stopping whatever is supposed to happen with the earth’s power spots. How did he know about this? A message was sent from the higher dimension through … a television channel! There are golden pyramids floating above all of the major cities of the world … until the power grid that has been activated is literally blown up!

The world is in chaos, the golden pyramids can no longer be seen, and there is a very short time in which Starbrow and his compatriots must raise the consciousness of the world. The three compatriots are coming into their own power, and their own understanding of the ancient prophecy.
Two of them appear to have been killed in the demolition of Glastonbury Tor, and Starbrow is taken into custody by the CIA agent and his men. Each of these individuals is struggling to become a Spiritual Warrior, and to apply the spiritual teachings of the Masters under their current circumstances.

This is an exciting, intense book on many levels. It is a delightful mystery, with in-depth characters and story-line. It presents spiritual concepts in a manner in which the reader can understand them, and apply them to their own life. It makes use of existing theories/concepts/physical places to create a plausible scenario for the reader. It is fast paced, and both serious and funny (or perhaps seriously funny!).

My wish is that the series will continue. I had a tremendously good time reading this book, and would like to see more of the same!

Save years of painful lessons and read this book

I wish I could get every aspiring or newbie entrepreneur to read this great little book. Having been a small business builder, owner, and seller, I found myself nodding in agreement with every chapter. Get this book. Don't lend it out. Read it at least once a year. Trust what the author says.

Gets in your face, but that's how it's supposed to be anyway

I've read a lot of business books, and a lot of them are very inspirational. However at some point, all the other books seem to be too sugar coated, or delivered in a wishy-washy kind of way, or even if they are not wishy-washy, they're not tough enough and they don't get in your face. This book gets in your face and tackles the topics in a language that is seldom practiced in this genre. The topics here are otherwise more practical, and offers wisdom and insight that we almost know we should think about, but oftentimes fail to ask ourselves.

This book asks those questions, peers into your stream of consciousness and the heart of the matter, which is your motivation. Then it goes and digs in deeper. It was quite excruciating even just getting through the first five chapters, as each and every chapter made me feel inadequate on so many levels, not because of my knowledge, but because of my maturity. Then as you go along reading through the chapters, you continue introspecting whether or not you really want to get into the crazy world of entrepreneurship.

I'm still nursing some of my wounds after reading the first round. Now I'm on my second round of reading. I'm seeing things that I didn't see before. Maybe on the third reading, I'll see so much more.

I finally started a company with some friends, and it's far beyond the level of textbook know how that I expected. It's really the unexpected things that really catch us off guard. Somehow, this book has taught me a lot, and prepared me, and gave me so many a-ha moments in my journey as an entrepreneur.

Buy this book. Don't ask for it from your friends as a gift, if you're really serious with the topic. Don't even give this book away as a gift. Those who are really cut out, should have enough desire to try go out of their way to get the information they need, if they're really bent on becoming an entrepreneur.;-)

Excellent study guide

This is the best study guide out their for iSeries Command Operations certification. I have got this guide and in a couple of days I sat for the iSeries certification exam, I passed with a score of 88%. You should note that this guide was my only resource on the iSeries but I also had a little background of the iSeries system from my work experience. My colleague also used it and he has passed the test with a score of 83%.

I do recommend this Study Guide if you are interested in sitting for the iSeries Command Operations certification exam and if you are already have a background of the iSeries system. If you are only interested in general understanding of the iSeries system then maybe you will find better guides out there to help you in understanding the iSeries as this book is geared into preparing you for the iSeries certification exam.

Completely covers the field and it is large.

This book requires that you have MATLAB version R2007a or later. Although there is a CD supplied with the book, it does NOT have a copy of MATLAB on it. The CD includes: a couple of additional chapters for the book, the figures and M-files included in the book, and a MATLAB 3D Heat Transfer Program.

Note that this is the second edition, copyright 2011 replacing the first edition of 2008. It is a large book, about 1200 pages, and while the authors say it is suitable for a course, I suspect it is suitable for two courses over a year rather than just a semester.

The best Engineering Heat Transfer Book
By Combat Aircraft of World War II 1943-1944
As an engineer I have gone through many heat transfer books and I must say this is the best written book in the subject. This book has a modern approach to problem solving and contains many solved problems that focus on applications. The book contains lots of Matlab code examples as well.
