This book is wonderful.Bought it for my Mother (ok for myself as well :) )and she just loves it as well. I had thought the book was only about listing various types of fairy's but it is so much more.It has chapters on how to summon them,what they like to eat,how they like to dress and how they build their houses and where,Etc. just so much information. The drawings are fantastic and I wish I had larger versions of the pictures.The book is quite thick and hand sized (well for my large man hands :) ). So much in this world that we cannot see that is beautiful and wonderful.

i recently purchased the Fairy Bible just because it perked my interests. i wasn't expecting much, but once I opened it and flipped though it, i realized it was put together extremely well.

There are sections on all types of the faye- water, earth, fire, house, air, etc. So if you'd like to learn about a certain one, you can just flip to the certain chapter! :)
Not only is it organized well, it's written well. It doesn't speak to you like you're stupid, but it doesn't use words no one understands either. It keeps things interesting.

the entire book is extremely informative, and I learned soooo much!

An evocative, almost mythological telling of the Journey of the Magi.

I am a longtime fan of the works of Johannes Bergmann (who may also write literature, satire and political philosophy under other names). He has an astonishing ability to be both elegiac and informative, to elucidate complexities one may not have considered in the tale of the Magi, and to at once raise the subject far above the usual passing notice that the Magi get, in the manner of an ancient tale, while simultaneously keeping his story clear and down to earth, so that a smart child might enjoy this book as much as a smart adult. Bergmann uses language and literary tropes that evoke a master tale of the sort found in the 1001 Persian Nights, or a Greek myth, or a bible story. The book is touching, beautifully written and would make a perfect Christmas gift for young friends and relatives. I will be handing it out to favored children and young people, because it is so beautifully, thoughtfully done that it may inspire young minds to real thought.

Quite possibly Professor Johannes Bergmann, during his travels in the East, has in fact stumbled upon a lost book of the bible -- the Gospel of the Nativity -- which he has edited and translated from ancient crumbling texts. A classic for Christmas, and for any other time of the year.

This book is an instant classic. This guy Bergmann may be our generation's C.S. Lewis, but with a style and sense of humor that will appeal to the 20 to 30 crowd.

And a great book for the entire family which can be read to kids just as my parents read Lewis to me.

I hope and pray for a sequel and I look forward to other novels by the creative and mirth- filled defender of the permanent things.

No Contact is a MUST to save yourself!

This is an excellent book. I have been NO CONTACT for 5 months. I tried low contact first and that didn't work. While reading the book I cried, got upset, and even laughed a few times but it was because she was telling the truth about the Narcissist AND Myself. Even though this book focuses on a toxic relationship being with a spouse or love interest the dynamics are pretty much the same when it comes to a being in a relationship with a Narcissist or other types of abusers. The abuser in my life is my parent.

Moving forward and healing

We all have been (or know someone who has been) in a toxic relationship. A controlling, happiness-destroying relationship. Yet it's still hard to let go. Instead, it's a cycle of breaking up and getting back together. "How To Do No Contact Like A Boss!" is a comprehensive guide, aimed at women, to ending a toxic relationship and getting that toxic person out of your life. The book covers everything from identifying someone who is narcissistic to formulating a plan for breaking it off to how to deal with getting lured back into the relationship. My favorite section is about healing from a toxic relationship. What really sets this book apart from other books on the topic is that it gives you a specific plan that is easy to follow. Recommended to anyone who wants to turn a new leaf and move toward a better future!

Best advice for escaping toxic relationships

I had always considered myself a pretty independent and strong-willed person. Never in a million years did I think that I would get involved in a relationship that was toxic and one that I would have trouble walking away from - but I did. I needed some serious help to break away from this emotional minefield and I found it in author Kim Saeed's book "How To Do No Contact Like a Boss!". There was some great insight here as to the dynamics of that relationship - why I was in it and why I stayed for too long. Also, the specific daily schedule for the No Contact, discussion of withdrawal, and alternative healing methods were phenomenal. This book has given me the guidance I needed to make a new start and some great insight as well.

Worst textbook ever

I had to get this book for a project management class. It was the worst-written textbook I have ever read. I have ordered this book for possible trainning of new employees. There is nothing applied in this book. I was looking for help to explain with examples when can be used and related limits of formal project management tools. If you are looking for this type of information just forget it

Worst Textbook Ever

I had to get this book for a project management class. It was the worst-written textbook I have ever read. It repeats itself constantly, with exercises repeating what is (poorly) explained in the body of the chapter. Constant bullet-point lists have multiple points that present (cryptically) the same point. The text is disjointedly written.

The only part of the book I read was Immensee, but it was enough - what a beautiful story. Nothing that followed could possibly have compared. The characters are crafted so wonderfully that it's impossible to not feel like you know them. Reinhard is particularly captivating, with his kindness, his wandering soul, and his enduring love for a girl he never manages to get. Watching him slowly be replaced in Elisabeth's life is painful - as painful as it is to observe his youth and vigor slowly slipping away. Geez - I read this stupid thing today, and even now it haunts me.

A classical German love story by a master of the novella form, the 'long short story'.
All good love stories are sad. This is one of the best and saddest.
Written in 1850 by a man who was appropriately called Storm, it was his breakthrough to literary fame and fortune.
My biggest surprise at this reading encounter is, that I realize: I never read it before. That's stupid. It's like not knowing a Beethoven string quartet.
The story in a nutshell: an old man remembers his childhood infatuation with a girl, and from there we move in stages to the end of their contact: she has married another man, because her mother wanted it that way. The story may be mid 19th century, but it is as contemporary as they come.
Storm was a poet and a writer of novellas. He didn't belong to 'romantic' literature, but is classified as 'poetical realist'.
